3. Ricky Saints Gets To Look Crafty

That was a good opening segment with Trick Williams celebrating his marriage to Lash Legend, then Ricky Saints going toe to toe with him on the mic. Saints dropped Lil Yachty, then ran off before coming back in to ambush a distracted Trick. Making Ricky look like a crafty heel is good booking, even if he does have about as much chance of winning that US Title at Night Of Champions as Yachty has of winning a Royal Rumble.

Actually, better not say that incase it comes true.

WWE edited the hell out of this pre-taped face to face, but it still worked. Some of the audio mixing was a wee bit all over the place, and there were obvious cuts (particularly when Trick was talking), but yeah - it wasn't a major issue. The best case scenario for Saints is that he gives his all vs. Williams over in Saudi Arabia and then keeps afloat when Carmelo Hayes re-enters the chat as Trick's next challenger.

Going with the same Triple Threat formula they're running in the WWE Title scene sounds fine enough for these fellas, and it could even feature inside the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden on the next Saturday Night's Main Event in July. Yep, Trick vs. Ricky vs. Melo sounds like it'd work out pretty darn well in front of a typically savvy New York audience.

For now, booking Saints like peak era Miz is the right way to go. Further credit must go to Williams for getting some celebratory comments about his wedding in there without going overboard. Let's talk about it.
