5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 24)

2. Bar Brawlers

Once they'd dispensed with their little Clint Eastwood-style sit down, Sheamus and Jeff Hardy made the most of their 'Bar Fight' setting. They were always going to - WWE know how to shoot and format these brawls better than most, and both guys are playing their roles well in spite of the wonky storytelling.

If you rarely watch SmackDown and only use recaps like this to stay abreast, then do yourself a favour and check this week's main event out. It's worth seeing, if only for the typical set destruction, some great use of implied comedy and that barman taking quite the bump for his troubles.

The fact he was called "Vinny Mac" is also tremendous.

Anyone who has wanted to see Jeff put Sheamus in his place would've been delighted by the finish as well. Some of the beats to this tale have definitely been dodgy, but the blow off was everything it needed to be and ended the show on a high.
