5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 24)

3. "It's His Turn Now"

Bray Wyatt
WWE

WWE have dropped the ball with Bray Wyatt through so much over the years that a lesser man would've crumbled by now. Thankfully, Bray is one of the most skilled talkers in pro wrestling today, and he's able to make the best of even the worst situations. Case in point: SmackDown's confirmation that the 'Fiend' vs. Braun Strowman is next.

There's almost nothing Wyatt can't rescue.

This week, he appeared via 'Firefly Fun House' to report that the 'Eater Of Worlds' had been eaten and his future was fiendish. He did suggest that Strowman is still mired beneath the swamp they battled in at Extreme Rules, which is bizarre, but this guy can make anything work no matter how daft.

It's a massive compliment to the strength of the character's look and aura that the 'Fiend' didn't melt away as a relevant entity post-Goldberg squash earlier this year. This will either be the death of that gimmick too, or another chance for Bray to prove he's worthy of leading SmackDown as Universal Champ.
