5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 5)

2. Lazy Police

Jeff Hardy and Sheamus are making the most of their frankly implausible storyline.

To recap what Jeff suggested on Friday, Sheamus attacked him when he arrived at the PC last week, doused him in alcohol, smashed his car into some nearby props, wiped out Elias, waited until Hardy was drunk and then fled the scene? What a master criminal that fella' is.

Another point that doesn't sit well? The laziness of Orlando's police department. Jeff claimed they had identified the perpetrator as someone who fit Sheamus' description perfectly, so why didn't they call him in for questioning through the week? Were they too busy munching donuts? Does Clancy Wiggum run that precinct?

Ok, ok. The logic is sketchy, and that was the case last week when yours truly gave this story a pass. It might be a bit harsh to start criticising it now, but man, it's remarkable that Hardy and Sheamus are making this work at all.
