5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 14)

2. A Little Too Literal

It's been two years since Baron Corbin won King Of The Ring.

Two bloody years, and yet Michael Cole is happy to pretend that a feud over his crown is some hot topic that everybody should care about. Granted, WWE are only trying to give Corbin and Shinsuke Nakamura something to do, but is this the best they could come up with? Seriously?!

It's a little too literal to use Shin's 'King Of Strong Style' nickname as the basis for this crown-stealing monotony as well. Next week, Corbin will whine and complain about such treatment, then probably challenge Naka to a 'Crown On A Pole' showdown. You heard it here first, people.

Again, two years! This is the kind of plot point that needed to happen back in 2019 right after Baron won the tournament and started dressing up like Jerry Lawler if the legend had been cast in Game Of Thrones. Time has moved on since Corbin's KOTR win was relevant.
