5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 14)
3. Shayna Baszler Can Move On
Finally.
No, not "finally" in terms of Natalya and Tamina winning the Women's Tag-Team Titles. Finally, Shayna Baszler looks like she might be able to move on from Nia Jax. That definitely needs to happen now she and Nia are no longer co-champs. Also, yeah, it was nice to see Nattie and Tamina get a win.
Anybody who has read this article since 'Mania knows how little this fan wanted to see yet another rematch between these two teams. Fair's fair - they worked a solid encounter that had a good finish and was worthy of the TV time. Still, the biggest takeaway is Baszler's chance to get the hell away from Jax and back into the singles market.
Shayna has been strangled by Nia for too long, and that's been especially annoying for anyone who checks out NXT and knows what Baszler is capable of. Please, WWE, put this woman in a serious feud against Bianca Belair or Rhea Ripley and watch her fly.
