5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 14)

2. Chemistry!

Dolph Ziggler Rey Mysterio

It's scientifically impossible for Rey Mysterio and Dolph Ziggler to enter a pro wrestling ring and put on a poor match. These guys gel well (they always have), and they clearly enjoy working together. Despite the storyline wobbles examined in the 'Downs' section, this was more good stuff.

Rey and Dolph worked a slow-burning story that played into Ziggler's growing arrogance and inflated sense of importance. Meanwhile, at ringside, Dominik was concerned for his father's well-being and Robert Roode cut a frustrated shape as he watched Dolph slip on the proverbial banana peel yet again.

Wait, they better not split the Dirty Dawgs after Backlash. That'd be a nightmare for both guys, and it'd be a total waste of a fine tag-team. SmackDown needs Dolph and Roode to keep ticking along as a unit. On the match itself; well, it's hard to give this kind of chemistry a 'Down'.

Watch it if you're into match pacing.
