5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 18)

3. Bray Wyatt’s Contrition

The best wrestling characters stay true to the broader strokes of those personalities. For example, LA Knight feeling embarrassed by Bray Wyatt's attack last week, then taking the chance to slap Bray here, was excellent. So, mind you, was Knight leaving the arena but pretending he's definitely not scared of Wyatt.

Nope, why would he be? Bray's inner turmoil and the lurking presence of 'Uncle Howdy' isn't scary at all, is it? Is...is it? That's the beauty of this mini-feud: Wyatt is battling himself more than LA. It just so happens that Knight will keep coming back for more because he's too stubborn and arrogant to back off permanently.

This is neat and tidy booking for sure.

The way Bray offered a handshake to LA but kept an icy stare on his face was beautiful. Reacting in the best way possible, Knight slapped Wyatt twice before scurrying away like he knew a beatdown was coming if he stuck around.
