This writer was wrong.

It's important to put one's hands up when that happens, and he was. Previously, yours truly had said that Jey Uso shouldn't lose for a good while yet. Really, that point should've come with more context. Jey shouldn't lose constantly, but it's perfectly alright for him to come up short against top class workers like Daniel Bryan.

That's what happened on SmackDown, and it rocked. This was a sweet way to prep Daniel for Roman Reigns, which should be awesome. It was also some logical babyface revenge after Uso had attacked Bryan several weeks ago. WWE did a neat job of linking everything together here.

Jey didn't look like some useless jobber either. He got his licks in, and Daniel is a clever-enough performer to realise how vital that could be to the story later on; what's to stop Reigns from sneering and reminding Bry that he struggled to get past Jey?

Rock solid booking all round.
