5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 41 - Night 2 (Results & Review)

DOWNS…

4. Bayley Sidelined For The Man

There will be some praise for the return of Becky Lynch in a bit, but for the surprise appearance of The Man to come at the expense of Bayley is ridiculous.

The Role Model has had a difficult few months. Since losing her WWE Women’s Championship, she’s struggled to find her footing, and her match quality had declined to the point where some were wondering whether she’d lost something.

Bayley started stringing together a few good bouts the past couple weeks, culminating in a really good tag team gauntlet match alongside Lyra Valkyria to earn a tag title match at WrestleMania 41… and then WWE pulled the rug out from under her with a storyline injury Saturday, allowing Lynch to be a surprise entrant and win the tag titles with her countrywoman Lyra Sunday night.

Even if Bayley knew weeks in advance of the plan, this still has to be a gutshot for her, to battle on television to get to Mania and then written out for a shock return.
