5 Ups & 5 Downs For WWE Raw (4 Aug - Results & Review)

3. Another Week, Another Dragon Lee Disappointment

Oh, look, Dragon Lee lost on WWE television. AGAIN.

At this stage, it’s becoming almost comical how WWE constantly reminds fans that Rey Mysterio anointed Dragon as the future of lucha libre in the company, but he’s been nothing short of a dismal disappointment when the bell rings – from a results standpoint.

Lee lost to Dominik Mysterio Monday night, thanks to three El Grande Americanos getting involved (*groan*), which is its own issue. But for Dragon, this was yet another loss for the luchador. To reiterate a factoid from last month: He has exclusively wrestled members of the Judgment Day or American Made in all of his singles matches on Raw, and he has not won a singles bout since November 2024.

Going nine months without a singles win when you’re constantly touted to be “the future” and a bright star while wrestling the same six opponents is just wild stuff.
