5 Ups & 5 Downs For WWE Raw (6 Oct - Results & Review)

DOWNS…

The Judgment Day Penta
WWE

It was bad enough that the six-man tag between Judgment Day and Penta, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee was booked a full hour into Raw Monday night, but then the wrestlers turned in what could best be described as a perfectly competent and forgettable match.

There really isn’t anything to point to as a negative here, but other than Rusev appearing and chasing off Dominik Mysterio, there wasn’t anything that stood out during the match. Moves happened, people got slammed, kicked and suplexed, and ultimately JD McDonagh ate a Styles Clash and was pinned for the loss.

Perhaps Styles and Lee will get a World Tag Team Championship match against the Judgment Day, despite being just 1-0 in tag action. Maybe Rusev will get his rematch for the Intercontinental Championship. Or maybe Penta (who inadvertently kicked Rusev) will earn the title shot. And there’s a chance that Dragon Lee takes the AAA Mega Championship off Dominik.

Despite all those title possibilities, this still felt very much like a background part of Raw rather than a focal point. That’s never a good sign.
