5 Ups & 5 Downs For WWE Raw (6 Oct - Results & Review)

2. Half-Assed, Half-Booked

When you talk about the bad habits WWE has fallen back into in 2025, their penchant for making impromptu matches during the course of a program has to be near the top of the list.

Monday night, more than half of the five-match card was booked during the show, with the main event announced less than an hour before the match started. Literally the entire final hour of Raw consisted of matches made after the program went on the air. That’s embarrassing.

Asuka demanding Kairi Sane face Iyo Sky was easily the least offensive of the bunch, with an angry Empress demanding that Raw GM Adam Pearce book the match. Who would defy Asuka? The six-man tag was a trademark WWE impromptu match, set up by a backstage argument and just served to occupy time and get people on television.

The main event is far and away the biggest offender, but it deserves its own entry.

Once again though, WWE rolled out a program with an incomplete card and staged it after the cameras were rolling.
