5 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (3 Nov)

3. Darby & MJF Part The Crowd

Just good, solid work from MJF and Darby Allin last night, as they parted the Kansas City crowd like the red sea for their brawl, continuing their feud's intensity with the night's most memorable visual.

This came following a typically strong MJF promo that saw him start by building Allin up as a fellow pillar, before tearing him down as an outcast, misfit, and incel. Darby is a stuntman, and a "brainless wild hyena," while MJF is a wrestler. It's nothing we haven't heard before from the most outwardly charismatic of AEW's four pillars but his delivery is always impeccable - and this was another effective verbal barrage for Darby to respond to.

The match will be great. It's chalk vs. cheese, and AEW couldn't have found two bigger opposites to throw at each other. That they occupy similar card positions makes it even better.
