5 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Homecoming (4 Aug)
4. A Perfect Showcase
Look at that screenshot! Legends, all of them.
Now going by 2.0, the former Ever-Rise teamed with Daniel Garcia (who already has four Dark matches on his AEW resume) in their first night in the company, taking on the babyface superteam of Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, and Eddie Kingston, who they called out in their Twitter promo.
It was a blast.
Perfect for its purpose and position on the card, this was a fast-paced trios match that highlighted everything everybody loves about the babyfaces while giving their opponents some shine in the process. Garcia looked great working crisp exchanges with Allin and 2.0 were their usual personality-packed selves, whether screaming in Kingston's face or begging off from Sting, allowing Allin to charge across the ring and hit an incredible dive.
Garcia ended up taking the pin after eating a Paradigm Shift and Coffin Drop. One of the most promising young prospects on the indies at the moment, it'd be a surprise if this was the last time AEW fans saw him on Dynamite. 2.0, meanwhile, are a must-sign tandem, even if only for roles like this.
