5 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 18)

1. Hook’s Best Match Yet

This was Hook's fourth defence of that FTW Title (according to Excalibur), and it was definitely his best one yet. Sure, AEW's product could do without the scattered and random title shots, but Lee Moriarty challenging Taz's boy resulted in a sleeper hit on Rampage.

Moving on from endless squashes towards something substantial will only help Hook in the long run. Think of it this way: The kid will only get better and better if he's given more in-ring reps like this. Wrestling tightly-focused eight minute matches, for example, will develop him more than 90-second squashes.

Special shout out to Moriarty for making sure a good 80% of the match was dedicated to Hook's bevy of suplexes and submission holds. Then, The Firm member went night night on Redrum and made the FTW Champ look like ECW's Taz circa 1997.

Good times.
