5 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Backstage (Jan 14)

2. Keeping It Real

The Usos
WWE

Having recently returned to SmackDown, The Usos could have easily kept kayfabe for the most part, particularly in relation to their absence across much of 2019.

Alongside Xavier Woods, the brothers were only too happy to discuss the legendary 2017 tag team programme with The New Day, as well as their days training with Booker T alongside fellow panellist Ember Moon. Backstage, surprisingly, was willing to address the elephant in the room.

Renee Young brought up their break as well as talking to their children about their legal issues, with both Jimmy and Jey speaking frankly about how they used that experience to set themselves straight - particularly as they made their return to television. The segment was short but satisfying, adding gravitas to what was already a thoroughly enjoyable catch-up.
