5 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Backstage (Jan 14)

3. Turning Point

Booker T
WWE

Your writer hasn't been the kindest to Booker T for some of the nonsense spewed on such a massive platform so far, but he earned the guiltiest of pops this week when he completely exposed the daft side of the otherwise-excellent Becky Lynch/Asuka segment on Monday Night Raw.

Referring to the dreaded green mist as "water-based" for how quickly Lynch managed to recover and cut her promo, his "I like it...but..." response was quite refreshingly honest and earnest in place of his typical insanity.

He peppered it throughout the rest of the show because the mad f*cker absolutely cannot help himself, but the conversation flowed so well that the pops became part of what made this week's edition so enjoyable.
