5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2025 (Results & Review)
4. Just A Raw Match
Perhaps criticizing WWE for actually adding a midcard match to a four-match PLE card isn’t entirely fair – especially considering that many fans and observers alike agree that four matches is far too few for a major show - but when the match in question is an 11th-hour addition that barely would qualify as a Raw TV match, then it’s fair game to call it out.
During Worlds Collide earlier Saturday, Dominik Mysterio got into an altercation with Octagon Jr. after the luchador’s team defeated the LWO and Lince Dorado. Dirty Dom picked a fight and ultimately challenged Octagon to an Intercontinental Championship match at Money in the Bank later that evening.
During the WWE PLE, Mysterio toppled Octagon in a sub-five-minute match that saw the AAA star get a blitz of offense to open the contest before it settled into a typical WWE affair, complete with the finish coming thanks to a Liv Morgan distraction.
While it was good to see the IC Title defended at a PLE and a fifth match added to the show, this was as inconsequential a match that WWE could have offered to fans.
