Hoo-boy.

Who knew that Vince Russo was back and booking Monday Night Raw again? Keep an eye out for a car on a forklift next week.

Raw promised a collision between the Bloodline and 946 Monday night, and that’s exactly what they delivered… just with a bit of attempted vehicular homicide thrown in.

Generously, you could argue that this escalating violence is designed to shock fans and to try to regain eyeballs, but there’s one truism that always applies to professional wrestling angles: at some point, it’s going to end up in the ring. And what are you going to do when this feud reaches the ring? Grab a hold?

Beyond the comically so-bad-it-almost-might-be-good antics of WWE Gang Wars, Raw did manage to deliver some pretty good in-ring action, thanks to the likes of Dragon Lee, Big Cass, Judgment Day, Lyra Valkyria, Iyo Sky, Penta, and Je’Von Evans. Hats off to all of them.

Roman Reigns is back next week. Does anyone want to hazard a guess on whether 946 will be banned from the building? Or if he’ll even reference these gang wars ahead of his world title defense against LA Knight (who was relegated to a pre-taped promo)?
