3. Jimmy Shoots His Shot, Gets Shot Down

Everyone could see the writing on the wall the second Jimmy Uso slapped Gunther last week: he was going to get dropped by the Ring General when they squared off Monday night.

Thankfully, WWE didn’t play around too much with Jimmy getting in a fair amount of offense. The former tag champ did get some hope spots and even scored a shock two-count on Gunther, but the World Heavyweight Champion wasn’t in danger more than that one fleeting moment.

Afterward, it was all Gunther, as he picked Jimmy up twice from a pinfall that would have ended the match, clearly making a point. Wade Barrett said it best by calling Uso a “warm carcass.”

What came next deserves its own recognition, but it’s worth giving kudos for a good use of a pretty obvious match result.
