5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw: Day 1 (Results & Review)

UPS…

5. Looking Out For Vinci

Giovanni Vinci
WWE

It would be unfair to give the Imperium/Jey Uso and Kofi Kingston match anything less than good vibes after what happened just a few minutes into the bout.

Kofi was getting battered by Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser when he countered a diving crossbody attempt from Vinci with an errant dropkick that apparently hit him in the jaw. The kick and impact on the mat knocked Giovanni out of it, and the ringside doctor and referee almost immediately waved off the match, awarding it to Kingston and Uso.

It was a disappointing finish, but you have to tip your cap to WWE personnel for looking out for Vinci and protecting him rather than trying to soldier on.
