5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 8)
1. “Who Is That?”
Word to the wise: WWE, maybe having your top champion ridicule a promising young star and pretend he doesn't know who Theory is wasn't the best idea. Sadly, that's what happened during that opening promo segment on this week's SmackDown.
This kind of thing is always avoidable. Always.
Theory jogged out to intrude on Roman's self-aggrandising with Paul Heyman and The Usos, then proceeded to pose on the stage with his Money In The Bank briefcase before departing. As he did, Reigns turned to Paul E and asked who the hell this handsome young devil with the green case was.
Did he not watch the pay-per-view? Man, Reigns treating Theory as beneath him is one thing, but making an entire supershow concept look small time because the reigning Undisputed Champ couldn't be arsed tuning in? That's ridiculously counterproductive.
