5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 20 - Results & Review)

2. “Let The GAMES Begin!”

Nick Aldis Adam Pearce Jey Uso
WWE

That's what Adam Pearce said to Nick Aldis after the new SmackDown GM had he and Jey Uso punted from the building for causing chaos. Adam's wording will not be coincidence. WWE wanted you to spot the word "games", put two and two together, then start getting pumped for the next WarGames at Survivor Series.

Oh, it's coming.

Listen, the actual match will be fun, but...what's actually on the line? Sorry, but this writer isn't all that into the thought of "brand warfare" returning for the sake of it. Raw vs. SmackDown was done to death over a span of decades, then Triple H wisely took a break at Survivors 2022. Now it's coming back?!

Team Aldis vs. Team Pearce doesn't have any juice to it unless both are willing to step inside the ring themselves. Someone needs to sit WWE creative down and explain to them that Raw vs. SmackDown isn't as sexy a thought as they seem to think it is.
