2. What Are We Doing?

Heading into the main event Monday night, the outcome seemed pretty clear: Jimmy Uso would get involved to help tip the scales toward Jey Uso in his match against Solo Sikoa, but then LA Knight would see the light and balance things out, saving Solo from being forced to return to the Bloodline.

Instead, Knight was nowhere to be seen after Jimmy caused multiple distractions, and Solo fell to big brother Jey, setting up the Bloodline’s second indentured servant angle in less than three months (although Jacob Fatu seems to have abandoned any hesitance toward doing Roman’s bidding).

The match itself was about what you would expect from Solo and Jey, though the finishing sequence was pretty decent as they ran through finisher attempts.

It’s worth noting that the stipulation for the match was that Jey would “deliver Solo to the Tribal Chief,” not an explicit requirement that Sikoa rejoin the Bloodline. That really seems to be splitting hairs, but maybe there’s something there that renders the criticism moot.

However, if this turns into Solo rejoining against his will, it actually will be a lower-grade repeat of Fatu’s plight, which is incredibly lazy.
