5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 6 - Results & Review)

3. Sucking You In

The four tag teams that squared off after the show-opening promo had a tall task in rallying fans to invest in their struggle after they spent 15 minutes chanting “We want Cody!” and “Rocky sucks!”

But New Day, #DIY, the Creed Brothers and Imperium managed to finally pull the crowd in with some bonkers action as the match broke down after a commercial break. The veneer of a tag match pretty much disappeared and it was a pier six brawl for the remainder of the contest, with a series of multi-man spots and crazy saves.

The Creeds got a really nice rub here when they ran wild on all six other men, but ultimately it was #DIY getting the win by putting Giovanni Vinci down with a Meet in the Middle. They’ll go on to face Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate, with the winner getting a Tag Title shot at Elimination Chamber.

That’s the only strange part about this whole thing: #DIY just had a title match last week on Raw – and lost. And now they’re one win away from another shot. At least if they get it, they’ll have earned it.
