5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (July 4)

2. Rematch Time

Theory Bobby Lashley

Theory vs. Bobby Lashley II makes sense.

This writer thought they meshed well at Money In The Bank, and he's excited to see what they can do with a little more time at SummerSlam. Their promo confrontation at the top of Raw was predictable-but-solid. No-one should have a problem with Lashley ending it on top either.

Theory is comfortable enough in his own character's cowardly skin that he suits getting egg on his face, and it was nice that he brashly tried to set up history; the MITB winner said he'd cash in on either Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar and beat Bob for the United States Title in the same night.

Casting Theory as a heel who believes his own nonsense is the way to go. WWE can't squeeze too many weak moments from him now he's 'Mr. MITB' (otherwise he'll lose some cred with the audience), but this was perfectly fine for what it was.
