5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (July 4)

3. 'Go Back To Your Own Brand'

Liv Morgan Carmella Natalya

Y'know one of the glaring flaws with WWE's brand split stuff? It's a switch they turn on and off to suit, and they also dip and dive in/out of it within the same segment. For example, Carmella encouraged Natalya to toddle off back to SmackDown, then teamed up with her like they've been buddies for months.

OK then.

Again, like the opener, the actual bell-to-bell action between Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair, 'Mella and Nattie was fine, but the whole exercise was so obviously filler and Liv needed more than that. Interruptions from the heels squashed her giddy victory speech after MITB too, which wasn't great.

Precisely nobody wants to see Liv vs. Carmella or Natalya long-term. Those women lost respective title bouts on pay-per-view this past weekend, and they need to be cycled out of the championship picture for a while before anybody takes them seriously.

Morgan's night was a bit of a missed opportunity.
