5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 10)

3. “Pie-back’s A Bitch”

Toni Storm Sasha Banks

Apparently, the same scribe in charge of material for Madcap Moss is also scripting Toni Storm's promos. Why else would the SmackDown newcomer be ringing off crap pie puns like she's the artist formerly known as Riddick Moss (former 24/7 Champion, don't you know)?

Toni actually said "pie-back's a bitch" during her backstage bit with Sasha Banks. Worse, the 'Legit Boss' whipped her head back like she'd just heard the funniest joke of all the times. OK, here's the deal: Sasha geeing up Storm is fine. It's nonsensical when Banks has spoken about being the only star who matters in the division at length and turned babyface for no reason whatsoever, but it's fine.

Toni's line though? Nah, that was stupid.

WWE generally do a poor job of presenting babyfaces as realistic, likeable people. They've always got some asinine thing to say, and this was another example of that. Please, WWE - stop this pie-related "comedy" immediately before Toni dies a slow creative death.
