5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 7)

1. Heel vs. Heel?

Roman Reigns Seth Rollins

So, some wrestlers who were drafted to SmackDown can't buy a break, but workers who left the brand for Raw can? Sure, f*ck it. Seth Rollins is definitely an odd choice to go against Roman Reigns at the Rumble though. He's a fellow heel, and currently has no redeemable traits that could get him cheered.

Maybe WWE want to encourage these recent pops for Reigns?

Adam Pearce said he had until the end of the night to choose a suitable rival for Roman on 29 January. Then, come the very end of the show, fans saw Rollins knock on Reigns' dressing room door and laugh in his face like a mad man. This was a strange ending, to say the least.

Here's the deal: Seth and Roman will kill it in-ring at the Rumble. They're too good not to, and they'll enjoy working with one another again. Even so, this is a Raw man invading SmackDown to wrestle for a blue brand championship, and he's a fellow villain.

Hmm.
