7. That’s The Best You’ve Got?

Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre were part of 3MB for nearly two years, palling around as a jobberific stable with Heath Slater.

Mahal and McIntyre are both former WWE Champions, with Jinder holding the title around the time McIntyre returned to NXT in 2017. There was a fair amount of history WWE writers could draw on for the first encounter.

So what did they choose to use? Mahal mentioned they were close, former tag partners. But Jinder texted him to go riding motorcycles, and Drew texted back, “Sorry, 2 busy.” And it was the number 2 that set Mahal off because McIntyre clearly thought he was too good to not even type out the word “too.”

Seriously? WWE has dozens of writers and this is what they script. An ounce of thought would have produced something 10 times better and far more effective. Hell, just asking Jinder and Drew for their input would’ve worked better.
