5 Ups & 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 7)

1. Riddle, Kofi Have Solid Fight

If WWE wants to create a logical reason for two wrestlers to fight, and then give them 10+ minutes to resolve their differences in the ring, then we’re all here for that.

Kofi Kingston had a legit gripe after Riddle reinserted himself in the battle royal and indirectly led to Kofi’s elimination earlier, so the two had a singles match at the end of the show. Their match was pretty solid, with both men teeing off on each other, including a nice brawl outside, which you don’t really see from Kingston. Nice touch.

The ending came when Riddle tried to pay homage to Randy Orton too much, leading to Kofi countering an RKO and nailing Trouble in Paradise to pick up the win. Experienced former world champ edges out talented upstart. Nice story, nice match.

More like this please. Less stupidity.
