5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw After WrestleMania (April 4)

Ups…

5. Slight Optimism

Edge Damian Priest

While it would be easy to be negative about Edge’s crappy heel turn, the development of the Rated-R Superstar getting his own stable breathes some new life into things.

Damian Priest formally joined Edge’s cause Monday night, pledging himself to the guy who babble about a “mountain of omnipotence.” But pushing the thesaurus-driven promos aside, Edge as the Hall-of-Fame mastermind leading Priest and a couple of others around could be really fun. We’ve seen that stables – when done properly, like several in AEW – can add depth and dimension to the individual characters and to the programming itself.

That’s not to say that this is going to be a rousing success, but we’re going to be positive here for once and give is a thumbs-up for now.
