3. Welcome Back Carlito

Lost in the shuffle of things last night is the reality that Carlito finally returned to a WWE ring at the Royal Rumble. And on Monday, he was back for more.

Carlito teamed with Jeff Hardy (who apparently will team with anybody these days) to defeat Elias & Jaxson Ryker. The apple-spewing superstar looked pretty good in his return to WWE, picking up the win after hitting a Backstabber and then Hardy nailing a Swanton Bomb on Elias.

Those who watched GLOW on Netflix know that Carlito has been in tremendous shape for a while and still has some gas left in the tank. Much like Shelton Benjamin, the elder Colon brother could fill a solid role as a veteran presence in the company, a “good hand” who can have good matches and be entertaining in the process.

And who knows? Maybe he’ll pick up some gold along the way.
