Not every challenger for a title can feel like a world-beater who stands a really good chance of taking the belt off the champ. Sometimes, you just need someone who fills a role as a warm-body challenger.

That’s what Carmella is for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank this weekend. She stands about a 0.4% chance of winning Saturday, but that didn’t stop WWE from doing a “face to face” segment Monday night in which ‘Mella didn’t show until she was called out, ran down her resumé, delivered her catchphrase and then started to leave. She then tried to jump Bianca from behind, but she got caught and dumped.

And that was that for Carmella. To call her an afterthought before the match has even taken place would be too kind. And this segment just made her look like even more of a joke.
