5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (June 27)

3. The Scripting Is SOOO Bad

Whoever wrote Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss’ segment and promos should be flogged with 1,000 Slim Jims… and then elbow-dropped by the ghost of Randy Savage.

The backstage interview saw Bliss correct Sarah Schreiber that she and Liv are friendly but they are not friends. She talked about winning Money in the Bank this weekend and getting Lilly (yes, the doll is still a thing) a matching briefcase. Because that’s what babyfaces do, apparently.

Morgan delivered a promo that sounded like she was in pain the whole time as she meandered her way to basically invoking John Cena’s “your time is up; my time is now” catchphrase to suggest that Bliss needs to step aside for fresh talent like Liv. (A quick check reveals that Bliss debuted on the main roster one year before Morgan and is only two years older than her.)

Aside from Liv telling Old Lady Alexa to stop driving so slow in the left lane, we also had to watch her shoehorn her “Watch me” catchphrase that literally no one has ever repeated. So, so painful.
