5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (March 1)

Downs…

8. Wearing Thin

As is typical with WWE writers, they can have a legit gold mine dropped in their laps and can’t figure out what to do with it beyond 1-2 weeks.

Case in point: Bad Bunny is apparently enjoying working with WWE, and he’s selling merchandise for the company like crazy. So WWE partnered him with newcomer Damian Priest and made him 24/7 Champion. That’s all perfectly fine.

But it’s been a month now, and he’s literally doing the same thing: appear in a backstage segment saying very little, accompany Priest to the ring, and celebrate his victory. While it’s mostly worked overall, you can see this act wearing thin very quickly, as there is nothing beyond that to WWE’s booking… unless they’re treading water until the rumored feud with Miz & John Morrison can resume.

We’re giving this a very mild “down” here because it’s starting to look clear that the creative tank is on empty already, but maybe WWE will surprise us next week and jolt things back to life. Or maybe it’ll be lather, rinse, repeat.
