5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (March 1)

7. Maybe This Is A Good Thing?

It’s hard to place this as a “down,” except for the fact that unless something happens, we’re getting more Charlotte Flair title goodness at WrestleMania.

Flair came out essentially to put to bed her godawful feud with Lacey Evans and sparring with her father, and then turned her attention to her tag partner Asuka, who just so happens to be the Raw Women’s Champion, and it’s six weeks before WrestleMania 37, and she doesn’t have an opponent, and OH GOD WE’RE GETTING A CHARLOTTE TITLE MATCH, AREN’T WE?

However, there’s one thing that could stave this off and make it more interesting: Rhea Ripley.

Ripley is being advertised as “coming soon” to Raw. Couldn’t she show up, challenge Flair for the title shot (maybe at Fastlane?), beat her and then go on to face Asuka for the title? Or with WrestleMania being two nights, Rhea and Charlotte fight on the first night, with the winner facing the champ on night two. Either way, it would "make" Ripley in the way she should have been put over last year against Flair.

If none of this happens, it means we get more Charlotte, who as we’ll see later, euthanized Shayna Baszler on Monday night on her march to Mania.
