5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (March 1)

3. RETRIBUTION Drags Riddle Into Depths

We’ve seen for months how RETRIBUTION will take one step forward, seven back, two forward, three back, one forward, four back.

On Monday night, the masked group’s black hole of suck grabbed the new United States Champion and pulled him in. Riddle and Lucha House Party knocked off RETIBUTION in six-man tag action in mere moments, which sent Mustafa Ali into freak-out mode again. This time, however, he challenged Riddle, who had been the subject of most of T-Bar and Mace’s attacks during the brief bout.

Aided by the rest of the group, Ali managed to pin the US champ after yanking him off the top rope with what looked like a messed-up super poison rana. And just like that, Riddle was pinned eight days after winning the US title.

Sure, it was due to interference and after his second match of the night, but we’ve been watching RETRIBUTION lose match after match, and then suddenly one of them beats Raw’s secondary champ. Typical WWE.
