5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 2

Downs...

8. Neither Wonderful, Nor Magnificent

An awful lot of awfulness early then, as Paul Orndorff and Magnificent Muraco lumbered to a double countout that felt longer than its four minutes, not least with 'Mr Wonderful' leaving a sour taste thanks to the above indiscretion.

Indeed, the times they hadn't quite a-changed in terms of attitudes towards non-Americans by 1986 - xenophobia was all-too commonplace at the time and rooted in the Mr Fuji gimmick Orndorff mocked here.

Consider this a case of taking offence when none was intended if you must, but note that WWE consider it as ill-advised today - the moment has been crudely chopped from the Network version of the show despite it surviving through countless home video releases over the last three decades.
