5 Ups And 2 Downs From WWE Cruiserweight Classic (July 27)
Ups...
5. Sign Mendoza Up
Even though he lost his first-round match, you’ve got to be impressed with Raul Mendoza, who dazzled fans with an array of high-flying moves against (The) Brian Kendrick.
Mendoza unloaded some springboard moves, a corkscrew plancha, and an unreal coast-to-coast dropkick on Kendrick while he was tied up in a tree of woe. All of this came after some showboating early on, letting fans know he can get serious. And for most of the match, he fought while bleeding from the mouth due to having the rope kicked into his open mouth.
Mendoza provided a nice foil for Kendrick, and he might have a future in WWE if the company decides it wants him for the relaunched Cruiserweight Division.
