5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (May 4)
2. Don't Believe The Hype
Last week on NXT, The Revival promised to start down the path to reclaiming their NXT Tag Team Titles. They then attacked The Hype Bros, who were coming fresh off a victory over Blake and Murphy.
This week, the two teams met in the ring. The Revival immediately gained the upper hand by getting the heat on Zack Ryder, but Ryder eventually managed to make the tag to Mojo Rawley. Rawley came in on fire and nearly took Dash Wilder out of the match, but The Revival came back and hit Rawley with the Shatter Machine for the win.
It was good to see The Revival score a decisive victory, just like it's good to see them on the path to a shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles. Not only will a rematch with American Alpha undoubtedly be great, but the team is too good to get lost in the shuffle and turn into another version of Blake and Murphy. I'm not sure how they'll eventually fare on the main roster, but they deserve plenty of success in NXT.
