5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Nov 25)
1. Women's Title Picture Very Noisy
The NXT women's title storyline is not going with the 'less is more' approach. More is very much more at the moment, as Bayley was confronted by her third challenger in three weeks after Nia Jax laid her out, following her match with Eva. Credit to NXT, they did set up Nia's interest in the title in a backstage segment a few weeks ago, as well as her alliance with Eva, but jumping Bayley from Alexa Bliss to Eva to Jax in such a short time can't help but feel a little scrappy and jumbled. Is Eva's story really over? Does two post-title-match confrontations in 2 weeks lessen their impact? Is there time to build an effect Bayley vs Jax program between now and TakeOver? These are all valid questions, left hanging after last night. This sudden scramble for the title has a odd effect on Bayley too. Going from feud to feud without really getting a chance to let each storyline breathe makes Bayley's run with the belt seem a little less momentous. Without distinct storylines, she doesn't really have the chance to cut promos other than the standard 'well, I'm going to give it my best shot'. If this culminates in a fatal fourway at TakeOver it will have all made sense, but plans appear to be for Bayley to face Jax one-on-one. Oh well, the card is always subject to change.
