5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (April 28)

2. Needless Repetition Between Apollo Crews And Stardust

On Monday Night Raw, Apollo Crews dispatched Stardust with little fuss. There was no need for a rematch, Crews should have moved onto someone else for another strong win. Some odd pacing in such a short match also didn't help them on SmackDown.

Stardust focused his attacks on Apollo's knee, which led to some good selling from the newcomer. In total, the bout lasted just over 2 minutes however, meaning there was little time for Crews to really emphasis the injured limb. The whole exercise felt a bit pointless.

One complaint put against SmackDown before the turn of the year was useless repetition, blatantly copying what had happened on Raw and rehashing it. That's how Stardust vs. Apollo Crews came across, it was the perfect chance for people to take a toilet break. Not because of the talent involved, just due to the booking.
