5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (April 28)

1. Show's Ending Was Perfect

Roman Reigns AJ Styles

After he had dispatched The Miz, Roman Reigns was forced to turn his attention to the looming threat of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The Usos came out to save the day, leading to a mass brawl that also included AJ Styles. Notably, Styles only got involved when one of The Usos attacked him.

That was good storytelling, AJ is still being booked as someone totally unsure of Gallows and Anderson. He doesn't feel he requires help to beat Roman Reigns for the WWE Title, which is inspiring. That fact will only make things more exciting at Payback, especially if AJ does accept their support.

A Reigns Spear to Gallows led to a shouting match between Styles and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. There's still some respect there, but that's likely to change come the next pay-per-view. Animosity is rising, that was the prevailing message as SmackDown went off the air.
