5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Jan 14)
4. Becky Lynch Keeps Momentum Going
Brie Bella has become something of an enhancement talent on the Diva scene over the past while. Her sister, Nikki is currently on the injury list, and without her Brie hasn't thrived. WWE appear interested in other talents for now, including Becky Lynch. It was the flame-haired Irish female that defeated Bella in a short contest on the latest Smackdown. With Sasha Banks also on the shelf, it looks like the company will move away from the idea of groups dominating the Divas picture, focusing more on individual stories again. One of those is the premise that Lynch wants revenge on Charlotte for turning heel on her. The best way to do that is to try and take away her WWE Divas Title, which is a match that will probably happen at the Royal Rumble. In the interim, it's important that Becky continues to look strong. Fans have rallied behind her a little more in recent weeks, mainly due to the absence of Paige from programming. On Smackdown, Lynch was handed a short-but-sweet victory that helps confirm why she's the #1 contender for the Divas Title.
