5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 19)
2. Roman Reigns And Luke Gallows Match Up Well

Straight away, announcer Mauro Ranallo told viewers that Luke Gallows could feasibly soften Roman Reigns up for AJ Styles on SmackDown. Instantly, that put some spice into what could otherwise be considered a throwaway main event. Right before a pay-per-view, nothing should be throwaway.
Gallows and Reigns matched up well, their match was one relying on power moves and more of a brawling feel. This works well with what fans can expect from Roman's bout with Styles at Extreme Rules, because the pair will surely go even further than SmackDown did and use various weapons.
Luke Gallows has noticeably learned a lot from his time in Japan, he's a much more well-rounded performer than he was last time in WWE. The disqualification finish also proved shrewd, because having Gallows lose - even to the WWE Champion - wouldn't feel like a good move right now.
