2. Paige Should Not Be Losing
It's understandable that WWE want to keep Nikki Bella strong before Hell In A Cell. On the show, Bella will face Charlotte in a WWE Divas Title rematch, so it makes sense that she'd go into the bout following a big win. That said, did Paige really need to be the one suffering the loss? Surely it would have made more sense to feed Becky Lynch to Nikki, instead of having Paige take the fall? The ongoing story between Paige and Charlotte is heavily reliant on English Diva looking strong. Booking her to lose like she did on Smackdown does nothing for that tale, it simply came across as confusing. Perhaps the writing staff are looking to add an 'anything can happen' element to the female division. There's nothing wrong with that, but they should be picking their spots to use that particular strategy. Paige has lost before on WWE television, obviously, but this came across as a bit of a setback for her. The logical story is to position her against Charlotte in the near future, but losing to Nikki Bella doesn't fit into that at all. To rescue this, WWE could feasibly book Paige to complain that her Team PCB sisters were not there to help her in her hour of need. However, the loss was unnecessary.
