5 Ups And 3 Downs From WCPW Loaded Episode 1
4. Three-Way Fracas
As mentioned previously, the opening bout was a three-way elimination match between Joseph Conners, Ryan Gracie, and Gabriel Kidd. Again, the finish was disappointing but, prior to it, the match was a fairly exciting bout and a good way to start off.
Joseph Conners was the most polished of the three, with a crisp style that wouldn't have been out of place in the majors. Kidd and Gracie weren't quite on that level, but they had a lot of potential (Kidd is only 19).
The match was filled with exciting three-way spots, and having Lucas Archer and James R. Kennedy in Gracie's corner added an interesting storyline element (Kennedy was great as an old-school heel manager). There were a ton of quick pinfall attempts, and even though the match was short, it kept a frenzied pace throughout.
There's undoubtedly going to be more butting of heads between Conners and Gracie, given the finish of the match. Hopefully, Kidd also comes back for more WCPW action.
