5 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (July 29)
3. Bull-Fit
As a British person, I'm supposed to have something of an immunity to nonsense, but occasionally something is so nakedly silly that it ends up warming my barren fleck of a heart. Bull-Fit is the official name given to Bull Dempsey's quest to regain physical fitness and so far, despite everything screaming at me that it's a terrible idea, that 'comedy wrestler' is a pit out of which it's almost impossible to climb, it can't be helped. I like Bull-Fit.Maybe it's the commitment to looking stupid, maybe it's the 80s music, but I find this genuinely endearing. It's easy to see why many don't; WWE have a terrible track record with comedy and no one wants to see Bull Dempsey turn into the next R-Truth or Santino Marella. However, NXT are a classier joint and, fact is, Bull wasn't getting over as a straightforward brute. At least this way, he's displaying some character, and if he actually does get in better shape because of this angle, he might be able to channel the comedy into meaningful babyface momentum. It's probably the 80s music though. That's probably why I like it.It's time to get #BullFit! @BullDempseyWWE#WWENXThttp://t.co/EnpJIAJCWW
